Very interesting! I picture the little bees dressed in hospital gowns congregating in groups to bee studied, tested, cured and released to the outside world to continue doing what they are meant to do - pollinate and produce the magic food - HONEY! Now if only we would get more rain.

The tour includes a 20-minute film about bees & beekeeping.  This  film was produced by the National Honey Board for viewers of all ages.  It is informative and fun.  After the film we do a honey & food pairing.  At this time we will also offer you the chance to taste up to 25 of our Marshall's Farm varietal honeys and wildflower honeys.  If you plan to have snacks or lunch at the farm, save some room for these sweet honey treats.  We will have a look into a real beehive. Our beekeeper will open the hive, show you a frame of bees & hopefully find the queen bee so you can meet her.  He will pull a frame of honey from the hive so that you can experience tasting honey right out of that beehive.  A demonstration of honey extracting and bottling will follow.

After the tour, you will have an opportunity to have us bottle honey for you to purchase, to shop in our little country store or to have us make up a special gift basket for you.

TOUR ON YOUR OWN ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.  You are welcome to come visit the farm and taste and purchase honeys on Mondays - Fridays between the hours of 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.  We are open on weekend tour dates, however, we do not have regular weekend hours.  On weekends, we can also be found at Bay Area Farmers' Markets in San Francisco and Oakland on Saturdays & in Marin on Sundays. call 707-556-8088 or 707-320-3141 for more information.
